The Danish Red Cross

The role of the Danish Red Cross at return centres

The Danish Red Cross provides health and social care services to Denmark’s return centres.

As a resident of a return centre, you can contact the Danish Red Cross on a range of matters: healthcare services, activation programme options and interviews with the Danish Red Cross’s social coordinators or psychologists if you need special guidance and support.

If you have any questions about return journeys, you should contact the Danish Return Agency or the Danish Refugee Council.

Companions and Danish Red Cross representatives

If you are a minor and have arrived in Denmark alone, you are entitled to be accompanied by a companion or a Danish Red Cross representative.

The purpose of having a companion or representative is to ensure your rights are protected. They can also support you in social and health matters.

As such, you must always be accompanied by a companion or representative when attending an interview with the Danish Return Agency.
