Being registered in the Schengen Information System

An alert has been issued in the Schengen Information System (SIS II) for the purpose of refusing you entry

If an alert has been issued in the Schengen Information System (SIS II) for the purpose of refusing you entry, you have certain rights. Essentially, you have the right to be informed that information about you has been reported to the SIS II and the right to access to information pertaining to you. You are also entitled to have factually inaccurate information corrected and unlawfully registered information erased.

If you wish:

  • to have information corrected about you in the SIS II that you believe is factually inaccurate or incomplete, 
  • to have information erased about you in the SIS II that you believe has been unlawfully registered, 

you should contact the Danish Return Agency, which is the data controller in this instance.

If you want to request changes to information about you in the SIS II or have such information erased, you can use the Danish Return Agency’s change/erasure forms.

If you want to request access to information registered about you in the SIS II, you should contact the Danish National Police, which is the data controller in this instance.
